This study focuses on the application of a weighted site selection methodology to implement green infrastructure in the Hunting Bayou watershed, Texas. The main objective is to mitigate flood risks. By using data analysis techniques and spatial tools in ArcGIS Pro, the study identifies the key factors that contribute to achieving desired outcomes. The study generates a suitability map to guide the optimal location of green infrastructure, which proves to be more effective than random selection. Despite data availability constraints, the findings provide valuable insights applicable to similar initiatives in different areas. The report emphasizes the cost-effectiveness and sustainability of green infrastructure in urban water management.
