Lihong (April) Mao

Lihong (April) Mao is a Ph.D. student in Structural Engineering at UT Arlington. She received her master’s degree from Shanghai University, China in 2016. She completed her bachelor’s degree at Luoyang Institute of Science and Technology in 2014. She worked as an entry-level civil engineer in Shanghai Telecommunication Engineering after she graduated. She has experience in concrete buildings and foundation design, steel design, and structural behavior analysis. 

Lihong (April) Mao will work on Non- Destructive Testing under the supervision of Dr. Nur Yazdani. She is interested in bridge evaluation and fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) laminate bridge strengthening.
