Raihan Abir

Mohammad Raihan Abir is a PhD student in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Texas at Arlington in Dr. Nur Yazdani’s research group. He completed his undergraduate in 2015 and his master’s degree in 2019. During his master’s study, he used finite element to simulate the flexural behaviour of concrete deck-girder system strengthened with externally bonded FRP composites and investigated load-deflection curves and concrete crack pattern to accurately predict test results.

He has four years of full-time work experience as a Construction supervision and Quality Control Engineer in Bangladesh.

Apart from studies, he has been involved with extra curriculum activities during his time in universities. He served as International Student Ambassador at Chalmers University for more than one year.
