Sujan Subedi
Sujan Subedi is a PhD student in Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Texas at Arlington in Dr. Nur Yazdani’s research group. He completed his undergraduate from Eastern Region Campus, Institute of Engineering, Tribhuvan University, Nepal and his master’s degree in civil engineering from University of Toledo, Toledo, Ohio. During his masters, his research focused on quantifying the cracks in sustainable concrete using Non-Destructive Testing while exposing such concrete to moderate temperatures.
During his master’s study at Toledo, he also received a prestigious ‘Research Mentor Award- Fall 2020’ from the College of Engineering, University of Toledo. He was also involved in several professional and student body there; as a Treasurer for A/Y 2020-2021 in Graduate Student Association, University of Toledo; as a Vice- President in Nepali Student Organization- University of Toledo for A/Y 2020-2021 and as a secretary in Structural Engineers Association of Ohio- UT Chapter for Fall 2020.
He had also worked in different firms after his undergraduate study; as a Deputy Project Chief at Dhunge-Jiri Hydropower Project, Jiri, Nepal under M.K. Nirman Sewa; as a Design Support Engineer at ERMC Pvt. Ltd, Kathmandu Nepal and as a Civil Engineer at Department of Water Supply and Sewerage Management, Ministry of Water Supply, Government of Nepal; for a total of three years.
