Jose Torres
Jose Torres is a senior at the University of Texas at Arlington where he is majoring in International Business with a concentration in Mandarin Chinese. He is a Goolsby Scholar with the College of Business and holds a leadership position in the UTA chapter of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) and the Chinese Culture and Language Association (CCLA). He is passionate about applying economics to solve social issues and firmly believes in the power of data to provide actionable insights. He works as a tutor, web designer, and research assistant. His goal is to go on to study international human rights law and apply economic concepts to solve issues that affect the world. During his free time, he likes to hang out with friends, learn languages (Mandarin Chinese, French, and German), watch Netflix (favorite show: Plan Coeur), and read (favorite book: “All the Light We Cannot See”).
