Shams Naqvi
Mr. Naqvi has over 2 years of experience in Civil Engineering design and project management. He began his career after completing his Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Civil Engineering from The University of Mumbai, India. While completing his undergraduate degree, he interned with Shapoorji Pallonji, a prestigious engineering firm regarded as “one of India’s most valuable private enterprises.”
Post-completion of his B.E, he worked as a project site-engineer for Reliable Builders and Developers in India for a well-known project in Mumbai, “Gulraj Trinity”. As he gained insights from working in the construction industry, his curiosity led him to pursue structural engineering design. He proceeded to work as a junior design engineer with Allied Consultants, India where he was involved in the design of buildings and earth retaining structures.
Furthermore, Mr. Naqvi is currently pursuing his Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Structural Engineering and Applied Mechanics from the University of Texas Arlington under Dr. Nur Yazdani. He is working on strengthening of two-way slabs using carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP’s). Recently, he completed his summer internship with Metropolitan Infrastructures, Texas.
