
Nafisa Shafiullah
Nafisa Shafiullah is a passionate student specializing in structural engineering. She is pursuing a Master of Science in Civil Engineering at the University of Texas at Arlington. Currently a Graduate Research Assistant at the Next-Gen Sustainable and Resilient Infrastructure Lab (NSRI Lab), she is conducting in-depth research on bridge deterioration under the supervision of Dr. Yazdani. She has earned her Bachelor of Engineering degree from Monash University, during which period her research project focused on mobility services where she utilized machine learning to analyze and visualize transportation data using geospatial and programming software.
With hands-on experience in high-rise residential building design analysis, project management, cost estimation, her professional experience included range of work in the construction sector, and contributing to preliminary structural designs based on various standards. She was also involved in preparing plans for industrial buildings, drainage and pipeline systems. As a member of American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Nafisa is committed to advancing engineering solutions that enhance structural durability and efficiency.
