Simira Carothers

Simira Carothers is a Mississippi Native with a passion for math and science education. She graduated from Tougaloo College with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and later earned a master’s degree in Secondary Teaching from Mississippi College. With over 15 years of teaching experience, Simira has honed her skills in guiding students through the complexities of these subjects.

In 2019, she moved to Texas and began teaching chemistry at Duncanville ISD. Her dedication to her students led her to join the Curriculum Team, where she contributed to the district’s educational framework. In 2022, Simira joined John A. Dubiski Career High School in Grand Prairie as a Chemistry teacher, further enriching young minds.

Simira’s infectious enthusiasm for science makes her classes engaging and enjoyable for her students. She believes in helping her students discover the fun and excitement in chemistry, fostering a love for learning that extends beyond the classroom.

With her vast experience and unwavering commitment to education, Simira continues to inspire and make a positive impact on the lives of countless students.
