Brandon Searcey
After obtaining a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering in 1999, Brandon Searcey started his professional career shortly after graduation employed at global manufacturing conglomerate ABB Inc. for 9 years through 2008 working in engineering with progressive promotions to sales management. With manufacturing plants previously owned by Westinghouse Electric, the ABB Power Division manufactured higher voltage electrical products to utility and industrial companies for electrical transmission and distribution networks. Brandon then pivoted his career in 2009 with additional training to get licensed in the state of Texas to teach technology education and mathematics. He then started his teaching career in 2010 through today teaching secondary education STEM courses in Architectural Design, PLTW Engineering Design, and PLTW Aerospace Engineering. In addition, Brandon received his license to practice in Texas as a professional engineer (P.E.) in mechanical engineering in 2014. He keeps his engineering license active with his teaching license. Brandon intends to teach the same courses in the 2024-2025 school year.
