Grace Olowe

Grace is a PhD student in Civil engineering at The University of Texas at Arlington. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Ilorin, Ilorin Nigeria in 2017. Grace has about 5 years of full-time work experience in concrete building construction, concrete design, foundation design, steel design, and structural analysis.
She began her career as a construction site engineer with Energobulding Construction Company (Nigeria) and progressed to a Civil/Structural Engineer with Crestech Engineering Limited, a Nigerian company that offers engineering and project management services to oil and gas companies in several West African countries. She thereafter worked as a Civil/Structural Engineer with Duport Midstream Company Limited, a leading energy company developing the first energy park in Nigeria. Her responsibilities in these companies include working on structural projects involving the design of offshore and onshore structures, specifically the development of technical specifications, structural modeling, analysis, and design of onshore and offshore structures.
Grace will work on Non- Destructive Testing under the supervision of Dr. Nur Yazdani. She is interested in bridge evaluation, design, and rehabilitation
