Postdoc 2017 – present
In my current project I am investigating the role of epigenetics in sex determination and examining meiotic DNA double strand breaks in Daphnia. Previously, I have been involved in mapping gross morphological traits in domestic pigeons to their molecular underpinnings using classical genetic methods, population genetic principles and next-generation sequencing data. In a previous avatar, I investigated the phylogenetic relationships and systematics of agamid lizards and participated in population surveys of olive ridley and leather back sea turtles in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
