Research Interests
I come from China, where I studied the meiotic recombination in the Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology, University of Chinese Academy of Science. Then I came to sunny California where I did my postdoc research in the Scripps Research Institute, centering on molecular mechanisms involved in DNA damage repair. After that, I moved to Texas, and joined the Xu lab UT Arlington in 2019, where I start exploring the molecular mechanisms leading to the loss of meiosis and establishment of asexuality. Therefore, I have a long interest on how genome stability and meiosis are regulated)
