Hello Maverick Families!
Summertime is finally here, and we hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend! Our office continues to work remotely during this time to protect our staff and students, but we have been working hard to provide a meaningful experience for our new and returning parents.
Every week we provide two wonderful presentations during New Maverick Orientation, that provide a glimpse of what our office does for families, and also educates parents on the transitions their students experience during college. Although these sessions are targeted to incoming freshmen, they are open to everyone. Visit our New Maverick Orientation Video Library to check out some of the recorded sessions.
We are also providing Friday Virtual Coffee hours for parents during the summer. These provide an opportunity to engage with a panel of UTA Professionals about all things related to the Maverick Experience for you and your student! Join us next session at 9:30 a.m. on July 10! We will be hosting a Financial Aid panel to help answer all your questions. We will also have games and a drawing! Click here to join the Coffee Hour during the designated time.
If you are a new member of the Maverick Parent and Family Association, we welcome you with open arms and hope that you are taking advantage of your new resources. We will be providing our parents with specific dates in the first week of August so that they may visit our office and pick up their membership packet. We will also have new membership packets available during Move-in Day and will provide more details as we get closer to the date.

We are following the announcements and procedures dictated by the university and will provide more detailed information about upcoming events in August. As of now, students should plan to move in during the week of August 20th-24th. We will most likely host our move-in event during this week as well. We will keep you posted!
Last but not least, we are excited to begin the transformation of our website! The new platform will match the new and sleek look of the main university website and will allow parents to have more sophisticated and efficient access to important information! We thank you for your patience during this process and we cannot wait to show you our new look starting in September!
