Site visit (with both graduate and undergraduate students in my class, my graduate students, as well as bridge design engineers) to a precast plant producing TxDOT bridge girders. The purpose of this visit was for students to see the actual construction process that was taught in the class, and to observe all the details in fabricating pre-tensioned prestressed bridge girders and concrete panels (PCPs).
