We recorded a podcast this morning at The University of Texas at Arlington of the brilliant teaching ideas of Dr. Ramon Lopez, Distinguished Professor of Physics this morning. He is grounded in decades of physics education research (PER) globally and shares ideas with us on what works for teaching. He shared ideas on a course-specific chatbot that helped students work through their prior misconceptions about physics topics in developing their expertise.

First in the series is the esteemed and legendary Dr. Ken Roemer, Professor Emeritus of English at The University of Texas at Arlington.

Dr. Roemer is a member of the UT System Academy of Distinguished Teachers and the UTA Emeritus status, a Piper Professor and member of both the UTA Academy of Distinguished Teachers and Academy of Distinguished Scholars.

He shared with us, not only his experiences teaching, but his views on how being active with the development of a secondary level Native American-focused ethnic studies course has become also part of his teaching repertoire. We learned a lot from Dr. Roemer and can’t wait to share!
