Microsoft now allows users to hide general channels in teams like any other channel. This feature frees up space in the teams and channels list.
After hiding it, users wishing to add a channel to their teams and channels list can go to “Hidden channels” and select “Show.”
It is important to note that if a general channel is the only channel in a team, the entire team will also be hidden.
