Microsoft Teams meeting organizers and presenters will soon be able to disable attendees’ video feeds during meetings.  The current experience allows attendees to turn their cameras on and off by default.  This change allows the meeting organizer or presenter to manage attendees’ cameras before meetings and during.

  • Before a Meeting: The meeting organizer can choose “yes” under the option “Enable Camera for Attendees” to allow meeting attendees to choose to turn on their cameras during meetings.  Or, the meeting organizer can choose “no” to disable cameras for all meeting attendees.  This can also be changed during the meeting so everyone can share their cameras.
  • During a Meeting: The meeting organizer can hover over the attendee’s name and choose the option “Disable camera” to prevent that attendee from sharing their video feed.
