In response to the changing needs of our campus community, the University of Texas at Arlington is opting out of the Microsoft Technology Adoption Program (TAP). TAP allowed users to experience new features before they were widely released.
Teams users at UTA will now receive new features as they are deployed to general release. This change will take place on Friday, February 5th to allow the University to effectively plan for updates moving forward.
UTA and Microsoft will continue our partnership to bring cutting edge tools to the University.

Make and receive calls
Collaborate, screenshare, share and edit files in real time
Use video conferencing
Use custom backgrounds, gallery mode and together mode
Use apps and workflows
Split groups into breakout rooms
Simplify and customize notification settings

View live captions with speaker attribution
Enjoy additional features in Whiteboard
Spotlight an individual video participant during a meeting
Manage meeting options before and during meetings
Access meeting notes
Transfer calls between devices that have Teams installed
Virtually raise your hand during meetings and calls
Prevent attendees from unmuting during meetings
Use AI-based noise suppression
Set presence status duration and appear offline
Set polls in Teams meetings
