Microsoft Teams is constantly evolving to provide exciting and useful features. The live transcription feature will soon display an attribution, meaning that the speaker’s name is displayed above the transcription of their speech.
Transcripts can be viewed in real-time using the desktop application, or at the end of the meeting on the web version. Microsoft has plans to consolidate transcriptions from Teams with those created by Stream so that there is a single transcription for each recorded session.
Transcripts are essential for those with hearing impairments. They benefit all attendees by providing the same communication in two different ways which aids in information retention. Additionally, these transcripts can also be used to generate meeting minutes.
