A new Microsoft feature coming Friday, September 13, called “busy on busy” lets you decide how to handle incoming calls when you are unable to answer. You will receive a notification in your call history for incoming calls that were missed when you selected a “busy on busy” option.

When you’re on a call or in a meeting you can select one of the following “busy on busy” options:

  1. Let calls ring me: Calls will ring as normal and can be answered if you choose.
  2. Redirect as if the call is unanswered: This refers to the preference set in the “When you can’t answer a call” category.
  3. Play a busy signal: Callers will receive a standard “busy” tone when calling (Not recommended).
