Updated October 25, 2022: We have updated the rollout timeline below. Thank you for your patience.

Video Clips are a new way of working and connecting with colleagues by using video of up to one minute in Teams. Users can now capture, send, and playback video messages in chat on all Teams endpoints.

To use this feature:

  1. Go to any one-on-one or group chat
  2. Select “Record a video clip” under the box where you type a message
  3. Select “Record” (Note: you can pause and continue the video as many times as you need)
Screenshot of someone on Teams ready to click the Record button
  4. When you’re done, select “Review”
Screenshot of a Teams user recording a video
  5. Trim your video clip, then select “Send” (Note: You can record the video clip again, if needed)

    When this will happen:
Preview: We will begin rolling out mid-September and complete by late September.

GA: We will begin rolling out late September and complete by end of November (previously early October).
