A new Teams feature will allow meetings identified as stale to automatically end.

A meeting is identified as stale if a user is the sole participant in a meeting 10 minutes after the scheduled time has passed. A dialog box will appear prompting the user to end the call or dismiss the notification.

pop up window showing duration left in meeting with end and don't end options

If the notification is dismissed, the user will not see it again for the same meeting and it will no longer be at risk of automatically ending.

If the user takes no action within three minutes, the meeting will automatically end.

If there is more than one user on the call and/or the scheduled meeting end time has not yet passed, the feature will not trigger.
