Report Potential Phishing Emails with One Click, Replaces Email Forwarding

A new Phish Alert Report button will automatically appear in all UTA Outlook email accounts on Tuesday, May 3. Instead of forwarding emails to alert OIT and ISO of suspected phishing attempts, users can report phishing and spam emails within Outlook by clicking a button.

In addition to being more convenient for users, the Phish Alert Report button will help the University keep email secure by creating a more consistent and streamlined way to report and track phishing trends and methods.

The button could take up to 24 hours to appear in your accounts after it is activated May 3. For more information, visit the How to Use the Phish Alert Button article. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please contact the IT Help Desk by chat, submitting a self-service ticket or by calling 817-272-2208.
