More Room to See Other Users & Their Content

Teams users will soon be able to hide their own video from themselves while others will still be able to see it. This provides more room on screen to see other participants’ video or content, and eliminates the distraction of seeing themselves, helping alleviate meeting fatigue and stress. A cropped part of their own video image will still appear as an indicator that their camera is still on.

Users can go to the Me box > … > Video Menu > Hide for Me. This can be undone by clicking the arrow available in the collapsed state and selecting Unhide for Me. Users can also easily hide or unhide their video by clicking on the menu next to their name in the roster.

The applies to both Windows and Mac desktop clients.
