Emails sent from outside UTA will be marked with [External] as a reminder that the email was sent from an external sender.

This notification serves as an added layer of protection to caution users about opening external emails and works in partnership with a suite of security measures designed to protect users from scams.

Focus groups were conducted with faculty, staff, and students to gather feedback and refine the appearance of this notification.  Users should expect to see the notification beginning on November 8, 2021.

Exceptions to remove the notification from external senders (such as approved vendors) can be requested via ServiceNow.
