Cortana (the voice assistant integrated in Microsoft products such as Windows 10 and Android mobile) is extending support to Microsoft Teams mobile apps for iOS and Android to streamline communication, collaborations, and class-related tasks using spoken language.

Speak to Cortana by clicking on the microphone button in the search header in the Teams mobile application. You can check a class schedule by making a voice query as “How many classes do I have today” or “Do I have any classes at 6 pm.” As well as join a class by saying “Join my next class.”

Once users are in class, they can invoke Cortana to perform various in-class tasks, like adding someone to class by saying “Add”, then the students name, and “to the class” or “Present my chemistry presentation.” Also, users can make voice queries such as “Cancel the notification for Science class on Monday at 8 pm” to cancel the notification for the class.

Expect this in July.
