Starting on Thursday, July 1, Canvas will be switching to another multi-factor authentication service called Microsoft Authenticator. Duo will no longer be used when accessing this service after the date indicated above. You will be prompted to use Microsoft Authenticator when logging into the application. Here are a few things you should know about this change:

  1. Users who have not set up a Microsoft Authenticator account or used this service to access other UTA resources (such as MyMav) from off-campus will have to follow the instructions.
  2. If you have already set up a Microsoft Authenticator account, it will automatically prompt you with the authentication method you originally selected during the initial setup.
