Teams users can now take advantage of a new productivity app called Viva Insights.  (This Insights app is designed for business and is different from the Insights app designed for educators.)

Viva Insights gives data-driven recommendations to help users improve productivity and build better work habits.  Viva Insights reviews activity in Teams and Outlook to help users anticipate potential action items and offers reminders for outstanding tasks and unread documents.  It also offers helpful features such as the option to block off “Focus Time” for uninterrupted work along with the ability to pin your favorite contacts so you can stay in touch. 

Users can pin their favorite contacts under the “Stay Connected” tab to see emails, chats, and shared documents.  Under “Protect Time,” users have the option to schedule “Focus Time.”

Additionally, updates are coming to Viva Insights to aid users in improving their emotional wellbeing and practicing mindfulness. 

These new features include:

  • Send praise to your colleagues – Make gratitude a habit by sending kudos to peers and colleagues.
  • How are you feeling? – Set reminders to check in with yourself and save your personal reflections users can schedule reminders to check in with themselves emotionally and save and reference their personal reflection history.
  • Need a break? – Take a moment for yourself with a one-minute breathing exercise.
  • Virtual Commute – Schedule time to close out the day’s tasks, prepare for tomorrow, and mindfully disconnect from work.
