Microsoft Teams users will soon have a redesigned interface for customizing Teams notifications. (Click the screenshots below to see larger versions.)
Users can choose from three options to customize their notifications:
• All Activity displays notifications for all activity in Teams
• Mentions and Replies displays notifications only for @mentions and replies
• Custom allows users to tailor notification settings to their needs
Under Custom, users can choose to receive a banner and feed notification or only to see the feed notification in the Activity tab. This can be applied to specific settings such as personal @mentions, Team mentions, replies to conversations, and likes and reactions. Users can also set specific settings for pinned channels.
Notification settings can be adjusted for Chat, allowing users to decide to receive banners and feed notifications for @mentions, replies, and likes and reactions.
Users can also customize notifications for Meetings. Users can elect to receive a banner when the meeting starts and specify how they want to receive chat notifications from the meeting.
The People option allows users to receive notifications when specific users are available or offline.
