When the Box migration to OneDrive
and SharePoint is completed, Box will no longer be offered by
the Office of Information Technology after Monday, August 31, 2020. Faculty,
staff, students, and authorized guest users will not be able to view, edit, or
share Box files, links, or folders after the indicated date.
To prepare for the departure of Box, please review the following information:
New requests for Box accounts will
no longer be created as OneDrive and
SharePoint are the official file storage for The University of Texas
at Arlington.
Box files and folders
that were placed in “Read Only” status during the migration will no longer
be accessible to faculty, staff, students, or authorized guest users.
Faculty, staff, and students will
need to establish new links and add appropriate permissions to OneDrive
and SharePoint
files and folders.
Departments may need to update
any documentation, workflows, or systems that have links to Box files
and folders with the new OneDrive or SharePoint location.
