Faculty and staff can use their individual UTA number to make or answer calls while working from home by completing a sign up form.
Join the 847 faculty and staff who transferred their phones to Microsoft Teams Calling. For individual UTA numbers (817-272….), it’s as easy as filling out a simple form located on the OIT website. Department numbers and people with shared numbers can also move their numbers by submitting a self-service ticket or contacting the IT Help Desk.
Faculty and staff can take advantage of the flexibility to work from any location without having to use personal phones to conduct university business. Your UTA number will be available on your computer through Microsoft Teams.
Just like transferring your number to a new service provider, your old desk phone will no longer be in service. Since your number is available in Microsoft Teams, turn on your computer and start calling or receiving calls with your UTA designated phone number.
