If you are trying to access the UTA Wireless Network for the first time or are having issues connecting after you have setup your computer up to use wireless, attempt the steps below to try accessing the wireless.
1. click wireless network icon (for windows, in the system tray. for mac os x in the menu bar). The Wireless network options will appear.
2. choose the option “UTA Web Login”. a password box will appear.
3. In the password box, type in the password “UTAsecret” (just as it is written, without quotes). The password will be authenticated.
4. Open a web browser. An authentication page will appear. Type in your UTA NetID username and password.
Another step is to leave the building and see if you can get a connection.
If the above steps do not work, you will need to go to the OIT Helpdesk for assistance. They are located in the Central Library, on the first floor with the neon sign.
