The Honors College gives students plenty of opportunities for travel that can enrich their learning experience. Two are coming up during the spring and summer semesters. Both opportunities provide great deals for learning.
Oklahoma – February 17 – 18
This February, Honors students, faculty and staff will travel to Oklahoma City. It’s a chance to experience the dynamic culture of our neighbors up north. The trip includes a visit to the National Weather Center, Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum and an evening in OKC’s downtown entertainment district. Student travel and lodging (double occupancy) are covered by Honors activity fees but space is limited, so students are encouraged to sign up in advance.

Peru – May 29 – June 15
This summer, Honors Students will explore the rich culture of Peru with Dr. Kevin Gustafson and Dr. Amanda Alexander. Students will visit sites of archaeological and cultural interest, including the Sacred Valley, Chinchero, Arequipa, Puno, Lake Titicaca and the Nazca lines. They’ll also have a chance to enjoy the vibrant nightlife of Cusco and the breathtaking sights of the ancient city of Machu Picchu. But be prepared: this program will involve plenty of walking, and some hiking, in a variety of weather conditions.
