The Office of Facilities Management has planned a campus-wide steam outage to repair a leaking component in the steam distribution system. This outage is scheduled to begin at 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, December 17th. Normal operations should resume by 8:00 p.m.
During the time designated, the buildings served by the Thermal Energy Plant will be without hot water and steam (this includes heated water for the swimming pool). Therefore, during the steam shutdown buildings may get a bit cool since heat will not be operational. Building temperatures are expected to be normal for business and academic activities on Monday, December 18th. Electrical power, air conditioning, chilled water, and domestic cold-water services will still be available. Please share with your fellow faculty and staff members accordingly.
