We are planning to replace the remainder of electrical Feeder F on Sunday, July 31st, beginning at 5:00 a.m. until completion (approximately 8-10 hours). Electricity will be off in the following buildings due to safety requirements while working in the electrical manholes.
Brazos Pavilion
CAPPA (Architecture)
Earth & Environmental Science (Geoscience)
Engineering Lab
Fine Arts
Health Center
Nanofab
Nedderman Hall
University Center
Woolf Hall
Building generators will support limited electrical needs to support research, building security, and networking (except for the Brazos Pavilion and the Health Center). It is recommended you keep any computer work/data in progress saved during this timeframe to prevent any possible data loss. Also, to prevent any possible damage, we recommend you turn off all electronic equipment including computers, scanners, and copiers (these devices do not need to be unplugged from their electrical outlets) prior to this outage.
Please share with your fellow faculty and staff members accordingly. We would like to have given more notice, but the contractors’ schedules would not allow it. If you have research that needs to be added to the building generators, please contact either Jeff Johnson at jljohnson@uta.edu / Cell (817) 798-8456 or Toby Buhrkuhl at tbuhrkuhl@uta.edu / Cell (972) 832-1490.
