This is a reminder of the electrical outage scheduled for the SEIR Building on Sunday, February 21st, beginning at 8:00 a.m. lasting until approximately 5:00 p.m.
To complete modifications to the electric service for the new School of Social Work and College of Nursing and Health Innovation Building, the Office of Facilities Management needs to schedule an electrical outage for the entire SEIR Building on Sunday, January 31st, beginning at 8:00 a.m. lasting until approximately 5:00 p.m.
The building’s emergency generator will be operational for fire and life safety equipment, limited building lighting, elevators, and any research equipment currently connected to the emergency generator. It is recommended you keep any computer work/data in progress saved during this timeframe to prevent any possible data loss. Also, to prevent any possible damage, we recommend you turn off all electronic equipment including computers, scanners, and copiers (these devices do not need to be unplugged from their electrical outlets) prior to this outage. Please share with your fellow faculty and staff members accordingly.
