In order to repair a leak in the steam service to the Maverick Activities Center and the PE Building, Facilities Management is scheduling a temporary steam shutdown for these two buildings beginning at 12:00 a.m. (midnight) the morning of Saturday, August 10th, lasting until 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 11th.
This will only affect the hot water service for the two buildings (including water for the heated pool). Electrical power, air conditioning, chilled water, and domestic cold water services will still be available. Please let your fellow staff and faculty members know as needed.
We want to get this leak fixed before school starts, and after conferring with building operations personnel, this seemed to be the best time for scheduling. If you have any questions or concerns, let us know.
