Pyridines have long served as N-based supporting ligands in metal coordination chemistry due to their synthetic versatility and the ability to fine-tune their steric and electronic properties through diverse substituents. In this work, we successfully synthesized anionic and neutral sterically loaded pyridines for stabilizing of an isoleptic series of coinage metal complexes. Three of these coinage metal complexes are stabilized by the bulky anionic pyridine ligand [4-(Ph3B)-2,6-Trip2Py]K, while the remaining three are stabilized by the bulky neutral pyridine ligand [4-H-2,6-Trip2Py]. Furthermore, we obtained crystal structures for five out of the six complexes, except for the cationic copper-phosphine complex, providing detailed structural insights.
