Fluorinated ligands play an important role in chemistry. In this work, we describe the synthesis and application of a bis(pyrazolyl)borate supported by pentafluorosulfanyl (SF5) substituent and trifluoromethyl (CF3) substituent. We utilize those ligands to explore the ethylene chemistry of copper(I) complexes and their application in nitrene and carbene transfer catalysis.
