Dallas panel ponders how city’s building led to racial and economic divides and what to do about it

From the areas chosen for development to the communities demolished to make way for freeways, the decisions that have built the city’s infrastructure over the last 80 years have also contributed to the division of Dallas’ communities by income and race.

So went the theme of a panel discussion Tuesday at AIA Dallas as the first of five public forums leading to next April’s Festival of Ideas.
