4th of July, 2011

Well my girlfriend Lynn and I had a wonderful holiday weekend. It was a long week of her moving in. We had dinner with her Mom, Kathy, at Cooper’s Old Time Bar-B-Que! We all something different and shared. Turkey, Beef Ribs, and the Big Chop (a huge pork chop).
I won Friday night outdoor soccer, against the first place team, 2-0 shut out/clean sheet. We are 3-0-1.
We out to the Ranch with Lynn and our dog, Mason. Got to see a lot of things, drink beer, and made it home safe.
Happy 4th of July, 2011!

Being the first of your friends to discover the latest Internet joke

You’re a modern day explorer.

Surfing electronic waves, battling pop-up storms, and sidestepping phishing nets, you’re mapping the distant shores of cyberspace. Soon it’s time to grab one of those extend-able telescope things, climb the windy mast, and step into the little basket before staring deep into the thin horizon.

After squinting and staring into the distance your eyeballs suddenly pop when you spot a sandy shoreline full of biting babies, rapping grandmas, and grainy videos of some guy getting squared with a tennis ball. Soon you’re yelling to friends on the mop deck, drafting a scroll for the queen, and getting everyone to come visit this new world.

Sure, Captain Cook sailed deep and Christopher Columbus sailed far, but they’re not around anymore and brother, you are. Yes, the baggy eyes, carpal tunnel, and painful throat scurvy was worth it.

So today we say thanks for sailing the seas and finding all those distant islands of

Hot Time in the Summer – June 2011

Summer 2011 started in June for me. Got to swim in g/f’s parents’ swimming pool. Visited with g/f’s family a couple weekends in a row in Plano. Summer soccer season started. We tied 4-4. We played against a professional Korean soccer player and his team.
Bought a new lawn mower. Watering and mowing my yard. Covered my peach tree in a bird protection net. Squirrels are still able to raid it so we’ll see how many peaches they leave for me to eat.

Easter 2011

April Storms in 2011 are still ripping around the DFW metroplex.
We got hit last weekend and again this weekend. Lost power at my house Saturday Night. Sunday no Power. Sunday night no power. Woke up Monday morning with Power. 36 hours with no power and the fridge and freezer seem to have held up and kept everything cold enough not to spoil.

April 2011

April broke loose quickly.
Dad had his 59th Birthday. I surprised him with a Native American Arrowhead shadow box I made from all of the arrowheads our family has found over the years. Including the most recent find I picked up while hunting on his Ranch land! I shot my first Turkey and cleaned it opening of Spring Turkey weekend, also!
House is clean.
Spring outdoor soccer only has 1 game left before the summer.
Red Dragon Tattoo is finished.

March 2011

March brings Spring 2011 into focus.
Spent the weekend cleaning the backyard and watering.
Smoked some pork and made pulled pork BBQ.
Soccer season has faltered since our first game shut out. We are 1-2 now in the Fort Worth Adult Soccer Men’s Over 30 outdoor league.
Week 4 in P90x is recovery. Which means, yoga, core synergistic’s, and some other light stuff.
IRS Tax refund came in. I ordered a new Philips Sonicare Flex Plus toothbrush. A new mattress pad. Some iRoomba accessories (Filters and bumpers).
Should be all the splurging I do this year. Need to pay on the interest on my car, then house loans.
Saturday is Poker Night at my house. So much fun having people over for 4-6 hours playing cards and messing with poker chips! Yay!
Jacob got a Taurus 9mm pistol in AZ. Told him that my Tarurus .40 cal was bigger, badder, better, lol!
I have a total of 6 computers in my computer room, I need to clean up, part out and/or sale! Wish I would just sale my PS3, also. I only use it as a Blu-Ray player, which was part of my original plan.

Feb 25th, 2011

Friday. It’s Outdoor soccer time – http://www.fwsoccer.com/. Game is at 7pm, and it might be cold and windy. Should be interesting.
I also did Day 10 of P90x, Legs and Back last night. So hopefully by game time I will be loose and ready to go, not all sore and stiff!
Going to the Ranch this weekend to get some stuff done. Clean up from Deer Season. And round the ranch chores.
Need to visit Wil at Randy Adams Tattoo again to finish my Red Dragon Tattoo.
Bring on the Weekend!
