June 2013 – Gone

Well, June 2013 has passed. In Outdoor soccer – Friday night I played my old team which was also in First Place. We beat them 2-1. Their only goal was basically an “Own Goal” I lost in the sun from a high corner kick. The 7pm-8:30 games are getting interesting with the sun and high temperatures. It was 106 Friday night!
Monday outdoor COED games are going great. I had another clean sheet shutout victory. I have only allowed one girl goal. A great goal differential coming along out there!
4th of July this year – Going to Eagle Mountain Lake. To enjoy great friends with lake access, a swimming pool and of course, fireworks!
Be safe, have fun!

June 2013

Summer has started. Texas is having it’s first full week of 98-99 degree days!
Summer Soccer started. Friday Night Men’s Over 30, we lost 0-2. The other team only scored while we were waiting for a full squad to get on the field, so we were shorthanded.
Monday night coed went well, we won, and I had a Shutout/Clean Sheet!

Work has been crazy busy. A major project’s deadline got moved back, but I had a consultant on-site assisting me with an application install for three weeks. As soon as he left I had a major upgrade on another application. PeopleTools 8.53 is coming and lots of changes will need to be done. Lots of busy work, that is for sure.

I have been playing some computer games, such as League of Legends and Guild Wars 2.

April 2013

April begins the Spring soccer schedules, although Outdoor League will call is Summer, since it will last until 100 degree temp days!
Staying on the same teams in the same divisions for indoor and outdoor soccer.

Looking forward to April 2013

Fort Worth, Texas had it’s first Spring set back in the form of a Freeze Warnings two days in a row.
Of course, I had just moved all my plants from the garage outside when a cold front pushed through Texas and gave the FW/D metroplex a frost/freeze warning. I had to wrap a couple of plants and move the rest back inside.
Soccer was a bust, we lost and now are unable to capture first place the remainder of this season. Summer will be our time to shine, though.
Now I have a short break to recover while Easter weekend will bring good friends, food and family together!

Spring Forward 2013

Wow, I a huge week ahead of me.
I have soccer games on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
I am running the in Fort Worth Cowtown 5k on Sat.
I feel exhausted just thinking about it all!
After I survive this, we play the top teams in soccer next week on all of my teams, and in March I will be heading down to Houston for a week-long training session.
Good times!
Spring Forward 2013!

2/10/2013

Outdoor soccer started Friday with a 5-5 tie against a much better team (w/a retired Holland National and ex-Dallas FC player).
Woke up Saturday. Went to a bowling alley birthday party, first time bowling in years! Tied with my fiancee, bowling a 118 the first game. Had a lot fun and beer!
Then, we went and bought me a wedding band and ordered a couple of concave enhancement wedding bands to try one. They looked great with my fiancee’s engagement ring. Also paid to get appraisal on her engagement ring. It all went very well! very pleased. We put a down a down payment on the photographer. And the Fiancee started dress shopping. I hear the wedding bells now!

Sunday indoor games were the first games of the new season. I play on two team in different divisions. Most of the same players. However, the team we played, both times, were mostly the same team too. Sort of frustrating. We lost both games, hands down.

Back patio is getting a face lift. Moving toward tiki-bar motif. I have the grantite bar top getting cut and polished now. And the bar should be together soon!

Video Games – I am playing video games on my ASUS G75 and on PS3. League of Legends, LOL, is awesome RTS on the computer. And Call of Duty: Black Ops II is great with my little brother and his clan!

February 1st, 2013

February 2013.
Indoor soccer: Going to finish in 1st place in Men’s O30 Division 2 and Co-Ed Over 30 Division 3! In the Spring I will be on two Co-Ed Over 30 teams, one in Division 2 and the other in D3.

Outdoor soccer: Our Men’s team will resume outdoor soccer next week. I am Managing the outdoor Men’s soccer team. We have 20 players and are favored to win.

Engagement: Wedding planned, deposit (non-refundable) put down at the venue of ceremony, chapel, reception, etc. Date is set – Nov 16th, 2013.

House: I have acquired a bar with a granite top that I am going to put outside and use as my Tiki bar! 8 pounds of pecans that I picked up from the yard are about half cracked (what a pain), because selling them to a feed store for only 35cents a pound was not worth it.

Jan 2013

Happy New Year’s!
Indoor soccer is in full swing. Outdoor soccer registration will begin soon and I will be manager of the FW Rovers.
New job is going well. Learning a lot of new applications and I have several new username and passwords to try and remember.

December 2012

December 2012 started very well for me.
I am engaged and I accepted a new job position at UTA.
I left the Help Desk to process batches of HR, Financial, and Payroll data for all the UT School systems.
It’s a new project and new position. I work closer to home and only work with one software system.
Very Happy!
