Interests
I love crosswords, sudokus, and any kind of brain teaser. I enjoy all of the home TV shows. Currently, we are staging our house to put on the market, so that our builder can begin to build our new house. I also love hanging out with my adorable one-year old, James, and my wonderful husband, Luke.
Biography
I earned a BBA in Finance from Texas A&M University and an MA in Math from University of Texas at Arlington. I love teaching, especially the students at my particular school. I am currently Department Chair of our math department. I also am very involved in the AVID program both for and outside of my school. AVID is a “college bound” program that targets and supports average, middle-of-the-road students through organizational tools, tutorials, and questioning strategies all incorporating writing, inquiry, collaboration, and reading. In the summers, I am a national staff developer for AVID at their Summer Institutes where I teach other math teachers strategies to use in their classroom.
