12/6/13	Mahdi’s, Sarvenaz’s, and James’s paper on the behavior of microbeads in optical tweezers was accepted by the Journal of Nonlinear Dynamics! This paper represents the first experimental validation of our new theory on the effects of mass at the nano-scale and was performed in collaboration with our colleagues in the department of physics. This represents quite a bit of work and it has been a long road to get it published so congratulations Mahdi, Sarvenaz, and James!

8/22/12	We are grateful to the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Robotics Challenge Track B for funding a study of robotic operations in disaster relief scenarios involving extensive contact and impact with the environment. This is a collaboration with Profs. Dan Popa and Frank Lewis from the Dept. of Electrical Engineering, Prof. Gian Luca Mariottini from the Dept. of Computer Science, Prof. Kamesh Subbarao from the Dept. of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering, and our industrial partner.

This work is a collaboration between Prof. Mehrdad Nourani in the Dept. of Electrical Engineering at UT Dallas and Dr. Deborah Behan in the School of Nursing at UT Arlington.
